White Tallin

APASSIONATA

Two weeks ago Alfonso kindly gave to us tickets to see a horse show in the Hartwall Arena. We could see a large variety of horses and shows. Spain has several centuries of tradition in horse breeding and training and already in the XVI century the Spanish Riding School in Viena (when Viena as well as Austria was part of the largest empire in world history: the Spanish empire naturally ;-) was created as the first Classical Dressage riding school in the world. So it was not suprising at all that Spanish horses were the most beautiful, elegant, equilibrated and skilful. However, it in undeniable that the acrobatics performed by some French riders were really breathtaking. After that we went to the city center to have lunch and then walk around the city center of Helsinki as two lonely hearts in a ghost city (saturday afternoon).

Real Winter

I ignore whether this is real Finnish winter or not but it is good enough for me.
Sonia at the beginning of the street where we live in Helsinki. There are some wooden stairs on the right side leading to the bus stop. I have broken my butt into pieces against those stairs this precise morning. Today's tip: ice is slippery, do avoid running.

Me at the seashore. Those little kids are runnig exactely on the place were waves used to break last summer. On the right side you can see the frozen sea. Cool.

Sonia walking on the sea. Only one difference between Sonia and Jesus Christ: Sonia REALLY walked on the sea: I saw it.

Sonia trying to get a buoy out of the frozen sea. I have another difference between Sonia and Jesus Christ: Sonia doesn´t take drugs on a regular basis.

Sonia acting as a sailor in a dry-dock ship at the beach in Laiasalo. You might wonder if I dope Sonia up to pose for me in such funny situations. The answer is: (usually) no. She does it willingly. Ain´t it funny?

Sonia in front of the old building of the "vanha mylly". She's beautiful there, isn´t she? The colours of her clothes are fitting perfectly with the sorroundings. Wonderful.

Ducks and swans are left apart in a corner of the frozen lake. By the way, the other day I ate duck breast "a la orange" in the city center. It was great. Leonardo is a truly recommendable restaurant in Helsinki.

At the shore of the frozen sea next to Laiasalo island. I am soaking my feet just for having a nice picture...anything for the readers of this blog!!!!!

Women are terrible (Based on actual events)

I thought I was going to a friendly and harmless party with three ladies and it became a very dangerous trap where those three wicked girls made me drink too much, laugh until I almost loose my mind and even (the most terrible) dance as if I were Ricky Martin. At times, I was afraid as an undefended little boy, Why my godness!!!!

Hillu (the lady with blonde hair) is basically the kind of person that, for some reason, was born in the wrong place. Hope that Finnish won´t get hurt by my words, but the truth is that Hillu should have been born in Spain but the stork in charge of giving this little baby to her parents (in Spain newborn babies are brought from Paris by storks, pic below):
was drunk and for some reason (...) ended up in Helsinki. Because Hillu fits perfectly into every single Spanish topic and she even smiles quite often! Trying to fight for the culture and identity denied by the unfair destiny, Hillu makes great efforts for learning Spanish and she goes to Spain almost every second year to enjoy the food, the beer and the hapinness from the country where the sun is always shining. She was an excellent host and I want to acknowledge from here: KIITOS HYVÄ HILLU!!!!
