Phoenicoperus

I am emerging from my own ashes. I've passed the worst days of my stay in Finland. The reason was a very hard larynx infection that kept me at home and mostly on bed last week. You have time to think and meditate and even have weird experiences caused by the fever. You pass a very unpleasant time, not only because of the symptoms, the pain, the weakness...but also because you miss those who are usually at your side giving you a warm embrace. In this COLD country, my devoted spanish friend Alfonso has been the one who took care of me and brought, for instance, some food to my house when I was not able to do so. His generosity and concern towards me will be remembered and appreciated for long time. GRACIAS AMIGO! I´ve been thinking of those who have nobody at their side, and I believe that must be quite a few in this country. Nobody would take care of them when they are sick or even just be there when they die! Because probably nobody will notice their absence, they will be taken into consideration only when the neighbours get pissed by the strong smell coming from the sad sick's apartment denoting that the poor soul is now dancing with skeletons in hell.
